The Healing Garden- instigated by Faye- one of our members has been a great success. Faye is
full of enthusiasm, and has got people motivated to come along and joi in. We are now looking for all sorts of garden tools,
cuttings etc. If you can donate something, please contact Nicky.
We have been given access to the
old gardeners cottage in Lewisvale Park in Musselburgh, and so far we have taken it from a derelict overgrown space to one
that is completely transformed. We have grown our own vegetables and herbs, and enjoy
cooking and trying new
recipes with our own produce. The Community Service Team have done a grat job helping us,and we'd also like to thank
Joy Gray for her fabulous designs and plans, produced with the garden members.
O2 were kind enough to give us a grant
for our beautiful new summer house, which we love.
We are looking for more people to come along and join in with
this project. We are in the process of applying for grants at the moment.
Our thanks to Caroline
Davis from Community Education for all her help and support!
Our longer walk programme
is completed, and we are now concentrating on shorter local walks. We have recently completed the John Muir Way, which everyone
enjoyed.
Our next fund raiser is a coffee morning at the Hope Rooms in North Berwick
on Saturday the 29th August from 10 am-please come along and support us!
